What is the cost of stair lifts?

APHHC carries 2 stairlift models. The Elan is $3190 and the Elite model is $4200. The purchase price includes soft-stops, customizable seat-sizing and installation as well as a full 1 year maintenance contract.

Does insurance cover the cost?

Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the cost of a stair lift.

Do you offer a payment plan?

We currently offer financing through Springleaf Financial Services.

Does the stairlift come with a warranty?

Each model we offer comes with a five year warranty on major components. Major components include the rail, gear box and motor. All other parts come with a two year warranty.

What happens when my maintenance contract expires?

At the end of the first year, you have the option to purchase an additional one or two year maintenance contract.

Will you contact me when my warranty is ready to expire?

Our maintenance staff will contact you prior to the expiration of your maintenance warranty. It is important to perform routine maintenance on the stairlift on a yearly basis to keep it in proper working order.

Is there a weight limit for the stairlifts?

There is a weight limit for each stairlift model. The Elan has a 300 pound weight limit and the Elite has a 400 pound weight limit.

How long will it take to have a stairlift installed?

Including the initial consultation and measurements, the typical turn-around time is 2-4 business days. If a custom stairlift is required, the installation time is 4-6 weeks.

How do I power the stairlift?

The stairlift is powered by two 12 volt batteries that are continuously charged by a one-amp battery charger that plugs into any 110 Volt household outlet. A properly grounded outlet needs to be positioned at the top or the bottom of the stairs. The rail is equipped with a full-length charge strip which allows the unit to charge anywhere along the rail.

What is the typical battery life for the stairlifts?

With consistent use and proper charging, the batteries should last several years.

What happens if there is a power outage?

Each Bruno stairlift has battery-powered technology. The unit charges the battery with each use, so the batteries will enable the unit to run during a power outage. When experiencing an interruption in power, it is recommended that you turn off the power supply when not in use. This will enable a longer battery life during an extended loss of power.

How is the rail for the stairlift installed?

The vertical straight rail installs to the stairs rather than the wall. The Elite model installing within 6 inches from the wall and the Elan model installing within 5 inches from the wall. This ultra compact design enables family members and guests easy access to the stairs without obstruction.
